加密貨幣經紀商Genesis Global Trading 在11 月16 日晚上宣布其借貸部門暫停客戶資金贖回和新貸款發放功能，原因是FTX 申請破保護導致他們出現流動性缺口，Genesis 母公司Digital Currency Group（DCG）也在推特發表聲明，指因為嚴峻的市場情況所以作出這個艱難決定，但強調這只是暫時性措施，這次沖擊沒有影響到Genesis 與DCG 的其他業務。

截至2022 年第三季末，Genesis Global Capital 貸款總額為28 億美元，Genesis 表示其衍生品部門在FTX 曝險資金有1.75 億美元，後來Genesis 從其母公司DCG 獲得1.4 億美元注資，用於優化Genesis 的資產負債表並鞏固其市場地位。除了借貸服務，Genesis 還有交易和資金託管服務，公司聲稱這次事件沒有影響到這兩項服務。

在Genesis 出現流動性問題註資解困的DCG，也是著名加密貨幣信託基金公司灰度（Grayscale）的母公司，基金管理著價值110 億美元的加密貨幣，也是除了中本聰以外、已知最大比特幣持有者。
而目前已知受Genesis 最大影響的，應該是由著名雙胞胎Winklevoss 兄弟創辦的交易所Gemini，因為交易所的「Gemini Earn」服務其中一個外部服務提供者就是Genesis，Gemini 稱預計事件會影響到對客戶的服務承諾，正積極與Genesis 溝通希望能盡快解決事件，並表示這次事件沒有影響到交易所營運和其他服務。
